Discover the beauty of the German Rhineland
Lots of peace and quiet. To clear your head and enjoy your holiday by the pool, but also to go out in the beautiful nature. Camping Donnersberg is located in Rhineland-Palatinate in Germany and is surrounded by vineyards and green hills. You can go hiking and cycling, but also indulge in numerous outdoor activities. And of course there is no lack of water fun. At the campsite you will find a swimming pool as well as a swimming pond!
Vineyards and spas
Camping Donnersberg has been in Dutch hands since 2013. The campsite has now been almost completely renovated and the focus is on tranquillity, nature and sport. You will camp here on the edge of the forest and between the famous vineyards of Pfalz and Rheinhessen. The view of the hills and the green forest is fantastic. This beautiful part of Germany is a Valhalla for sports fans, but also for lovers of space and peace. It is not without reason that you will find several health resorts in the area, such as Bad Münster and Bad Kreuznach.
Swimming without chlorine
The swimming pond is the focal point of Camping Donnersberg. This shallow water is a wonderful place for children to mess around with water, build rafts and play. Right next to the playpond is the swimming pool surrounded by a sunbathing area. Under the bright sunshine, you can swim your laps here and cool off. Thanks to the special filter system, swimming is also chlorine-free.
You won't get bored easily here. There are plenty of activities for young and old. You can join an archery competition, build a raft or search for gems in the stream. Even your dog will have a great holiday. There is an agility track especially for your four-legged friend and in the campsite shop you can buy something tasty for your dog. After all that effort, it is time for a cool drink or a tasty meal. The restaurant is the right place for this. There is a cosy terrace with a view of the playpond. This way, you can enjoy your German beer while the children have fun in the water.
Sleeping on the water
Spread across the green lawns are the spacious camping pitches. There is a pitch for every type of camper. Under the trees, in the sun, with a lot of privacy or on a more open terrain. You name it! And would you like something completely different? Enjoy extra luxury in a safari tent, tiny house or Finnish kota. These glamping huts have a fireplace in the middle where you can barbecue or cook. You can make it even more special in a two-person tree tent. Suspended between three trees, you sleep above a babbling brook!
Survival tour in the Rhineland
The area around the campsite is very popular among outdoor sports enthusiasts. Many activities are organised from the campsite in the surrounding area. Join a survival trip, go canoeing on the rivers or discover the Rhineland during a geocaching trip. Everything is possible. Of course, you can also go out on your own. There are many walking routes through the area and a trip on a bicycle or motorbike is a treat. For some variation, you can make a day trip to nice cities like Frankfurt, Kaiserslautern or Speyer.
