Camp in the Tuscan countryside
Would you prefer to go on a camping holiday in Tuscany or by the Mediterranean Sea? There is no need to choose at Camping Village St. Michael! On this campsite you will be camping in the tranquillity of the countryside. This modest campsite is situated in a nature park surrounded by many varieties of tree. The grounds are located in a 3 hectare private estate, which in turn is located in Migliarino – a much larger area of natural beauty. That said, you are never far from civilisation at Camping Village St. Michael, as the shops and nightclubs of Marina di Pisa and Tirrenia are just 2 kilometres away.
Tuscan highlights close by
Many of Tuscany's cultural and scenic highlights are also fairly close by. It is only 10 km from Livorno, the city of 'Medici', comparable with Venice and 14 km from the historical centre of Pisa, famous for its leaning tower. Here, you are close to the international airport, Galileo Galilei, 38 km from the coastal resort of Versilia (Viareggio, Forte dei Marmi) and 43 km from Lucca with a city centre filled with Medieval art. It is 75 km from Volterra, the city with an historical centre of Etruscan origins and 95 km from Florence, the city of art with no fewer than 120 museums.
Take the shuttle bus to the beach
There is a private beach at Camping Village St. Michael (800 metres away) that you can make use of. There is a free shuttle service which will take you there! You can also enjoy swimming in the beautiful outdoor swimming pool. Two deckchairs and a parasol are provided for guests who hire a mobile home. You are not permitted to bring your own parasols or sun loungers, but they are available for hire.
Many things have been renovated
Many amenities at this Italian campsite have been renovated, such as the revamped bar, the mini market, the entertainment room, the toilet blocks and the reception building! Camping Village St. Michael also has an indoor pool, a snack bar, pizzeria, a small sports field and beach volleyball field. There is a playground with various fun activities for small children, plus a riding school and a golf course close by.
Wine tasting in the villages
You don’t need to go far for a great day out. Wine lovers can visit regional vineyards and wine cellars in the small towns. Excursions to the nature reserve are organised – you can visit on foot or by bike. Take a short drive inland to explore the famous Tuscan countryside! Tirrenia lies just north of the busy port of Livorno, where ferries depart for Sicily, Sardinia and Elba among other places.
