Relaxing in the north of Overijssel

Fancy a holiday in a green, quiet and attractive park in the middle of the countryside of Overijssel and Drenthe? At the lovely EuroParcs Reestervallei campsite, tranquillity and nature are combined with all the conveniences that make your holiday with children an enjoyable experience. Here you will find a playground and an outdoor swimming pool. For a day out, drive to Wildlands Zoo in Emmen or the special town of Giethoorn. Or go for a walk in National Park De Weerribben-Wieden.

Between estates, forests and fields

EuroParcs Reestervallei is located in the north of Overijssel, on the border with Drenthe. The border is formed by the meandering river Reest. This is a beautiful rural area with fields, old farms, country estates and forest and heathland areas. To enjoy all this beauty, you only have to cycle or walk out of the gate. A few kilometres from the park, there is Staphorst forestry and De Zwarte Dennen recreational lake.

Take a dip during your holiday

On the park you will find a nice outdoor pool. Lovely for a refreshing splash on a summer's day and convenient for young families. The little ones can splash around in the paddling pool. For even more water fun, there are plenty of options. "Zwemvijver" de Zwarte Dennen, surrounded by a white sandy beach and the forest, is a wonderful oasis on a hot summer day. Less than ten kilometres from the park is the outdoor swimming pool Het Heuveltjesbosbad. This swimming pool complex with slides and trampolines is highly recommended for families. For a nice, warm indoor swim you can go to the Bad Hesselingen Subtropical Swimming Pool, just fifteen kilometres from EuroParcs Reestervallei.

A well cared for and peaceful stay

Relaxing and not having to go anywhere is also a holiday. After breakfast, take the little ones for a stroll past the playgrounds and animal pasture. Or opt for a game of mini golf or tennis. Do not expect any organised entertainment here, just a relaxing stay. Fancy a special activity? Then hire an E-chopper from reception. This is a sturdy electric scooter with thick tyres. Ideal for exploring the surroundings.

Places with a lot of privacy

The holiday homes, chalets and glamping tents at EuroParcs Reestervallei are located on spacious and green plots. You have plenty of room to sit and play outside and plenty of privacy. A playfully constructed stream runs through the park. This ensures that you can enjoy an attractive view from many of the accommodations. Because the park is so spacious, you can really get away from it all in the middle of nature.

Day trip

The immediate vicinity of EuroParcs Reestervallei is a Valhalla for nature lovers and those seeking peace and quiet. Take a lovely walk through the stream valley landscape at Oud-Avereest or the heathland area of De Wildenberg. A little further away are the National Parks Weerribben-Wieden (approx. 30 km) and Dwingelderveld (approx. 20 km). For the little ones, there is a Beleefroute of about 2 km at Staphorst with fun climbing trees and a barefoot path. Fun outings for families include a visit to Wildlands Zoo in Emmen, Slagharen amusement park and Plopsa Indoor in Coevorden (approx. 42 km). Or walk and sail through the unique village of Giethoorn, which annually welcomes visitors from all over the world. All these fun trips are no more than a 45-minute drive away, which is ideal!
