There are plenty of shops and snack bars in the immediate vicinity, and there is more fun in touristy Saint-Jean-de-Monts. Many cycle paths lead to other lovely towns, through the woods and the coastal area. Visit gems along the coast, such as Île d'Yeu and Île de Noirmoutier, possibly via the Passage du Gois which can be crossed at low tide, the Breton morass, the small harbours, the duck capital of Challans or the best amusement park in the world, the Puy du Fou.
